As part of the core Creative Team, we are looking for an experienced Senior 3D Generalist reporting to the Executive Creative Director to help develop and maintain a wide variety of 3D character, prop and environment content and assets.
You’ll be helping to breathe life into new, exciting, supermusical, AI-driven virtual characters, their props, and their environments. You’ll also work alongside high-profile partners, talent and/or existing IP to bring their ideas and characters to life within our platform and the world at large.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create a wide array of hard surface and organic models, from sculpting to texturing and final optimizations utilizing Maya and related applications
- Light, pose, rig and animate existing characters and props for various high-quality content needs
- Optimize assets for use within Unity game engine for various interactive content needs
- Have a strong comprehension of design (real world and fictional)
- Create assets properly scaled to real world accuracy and standards
- Adhere to the look and feel of the asset(s) and experience(s) through the team’s feedback
- Collaborate with other departments including marketing, engineering, audio and visual systems
- Willingness to take feedback and rework material while maintaining a fresh perspective.
- Communicate progress of work to appropriate production staff and ensure all deadlines are met.
- Ensure all artwork is properly backed up, organized and stored appropriately.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Complete understanding of modeling, texturing and optimization of assets through next gen pipeline
- Solid foundation in art fundamentals of composition, design, light, etc
- Expert proficiency with Maya, Substance, Photoshop and equivalent software
- Strong understanding of asset pipelines and agile development environments
- Nextgen game engine experience a plus - Unity, Unreal, etc
